We can transfer your 8mm, Super 8mm or 16mm home movie reels to a digital medium (DVD, external hard drive or flash drive). When dropping off your movie reels, please number them in the order you want them converted, and measure the diameter of the reels to estimate the total footage. For example, 3” across holds 50 feet of film, and 5” across holds 200 feet.

If you are unsure of the order of your reels, you may watch them at our office to determine the correct order by scheduling an appointment. Also, titles may be added before any reel of film by printing them on a separate piece of paper when you drop off your order, and we can add music, as well. You may choose from generic instrumental music or supply your own song/CD. The music will not be matched with the action on the screen.

One thing that sets us apart from other companies that provide video transfer services in Houston is we do not use the “Aerial Image Film Chain” method. We do not project your film on any type of screen, either front-or-rear-projected. Therefore, there are no hot spots, flickering or screen grain to interfere with the quality of the transfer. We capture your film on to our computers where we edit out bad parts, make color and contrast corrections, add titles, music and more.

The price is $0.20 per foot of film. Example: a 3’’ 8mm movie reel holds 50’ of film, so the cost is $10.
